When the Stars go Blue

White ice clings on to the sharp blade.
His steps so intricate and complex, yet pure beauty is emanated through his movements.
As he glides across the sleek ice, the cold air surrounds him and he is filled with warmth instead of cold.
Thousands of eyes watch him with a proud smile upon their lips, admiring from afar.
His arms and legs move in considerable speed, filled with so much power and passion that wet tears begin to brim on the edges of every pair of eyes watching him.
His knees bend down slowly, his eyes blazing with ferocity, his arms press tightly against his chest and there he takes off.
His body spins a 360 several times and as his feet touches the ice, the crowd erupts in happiness and admiration.
Feeling a sense of compassion towards the crowd, he glides across the ice letting the music take him away to place he's never been before.
Then it was just a blur, his heart pounded in his chest quicker than usual and his legs pushed harder, his arms swung around elegantly...up in the air once more.
The music neared an end and it was his final chance to prove how much he loved his country, how much he adored his talent and what he would do to let his dream come a reality.
Several turns and elegancy was no longer described as a talent like his, it was more than just elegant...
it was vivacious, transcendent, sublime and even more that were beyond anything decribable.
The music came to an end, and his body moved gracefully to a halt.
Standing statuesque, he smiled a beautiful smile and the crowd could no longer hold in what they were keeping bottled up inside.
Roaring screams and happiness filled his ears and he bit back tears that were building up in his eyes. He bent down low and gave a polite bow and a few blow kisses to the crowd he loved so very much.
He stepped out of the cold rink, he'd done what he wanted to accomplish.
No regrets just plain happiness.
As he stepped out of the spotlight, an immaculate white light glowed around him and the crowd no longer saw him as just a boy with skates, but as an inspiration.
