Painting Silence

Her hand clutched the doorknob and she entered the room cautiously, listening to any footsteps. Carefully, she walked towards the back of the building, her eyes wandering around hectically. Seeing not one single soul, she relaxed and set her bag down against the wall. She sighed heavily and ran her fingers through her long thick hair. A cold breath down her neck sent uneasy chills down her spine.
She turned around in blinding speed, her fist flying towards his curved mouth. His hand came up just as quickly and wrapped his fingers around her wrist stopping the blow. His smile grew bigger, and she attacked again with her other hand. He stared deeply into her dark brown eyes, and grabbed her other wrist. He smiled and moved closer, but stopped when he noticed her smiling too. He frowned in confusion, and felt her wrists break through his strapping hands. Her arms were a blur as they moved quickly in blinding speed; the palms of her hands was on his chest and the force of the push made his body slam agaisnt the wall opposite to her. She tilted her head to the side, smirking slightly.
In a blink of an eye, he was an inch away from her once again. His unyielding arms wrapped around her and this time, there was no way getting out. Her back hit the cold wall behind her and her nails digged into his back. She bent her knees and jumped, both of their feet leaving the ground. When they both landed, his knees shook, falling off balance. She quickly took that opportunity to grab his arm and pull it behind his back. He yelped in surprise, and she pulled back even more. His leg sweeped below and kicked her in the ankle. Her grip loosened and he turned around jumping into her.
The weight of his body slammed into hers and they both collided onto the ground. Her head cracked against the hard floor and she gasped in surprise. He hopped up and looked at her, with amusement. His hand reached out towards her and she took it unwillingly. Just when he thought she accepted defeat, he felt himself flying towards the ground once again. He looked up dazed, and saw a white spatula, heading right for his eye. His arm moved quickly blocking his face. The spatula hit him and left a deep cut in his arm. Blood dripped down and he stood up in anger.
His body moved around in surprising speed and spatula's headed right for her. She bent down like she was in the matrix, hoping to dodge the flying spatula's. Unfortunately, one of the spatula's was aimed low and grazed her thigh, leaving a nasty cut. She fell, and looked at her leg in shock. She slowly got to her feet, and together they fought like it was the last day on earth. Her fists aimed to hit every part of his body and he blocked them with ease and no effort. But as time dragged on, her blows grew weaker and his blocks were also weak as well. And in no time, they both were breathing heavily and stopped fighting. They looked at each other in truce and sat down, leaning against the wall. Footsteps drew nearer and a recognizable face stared at the both of them.
"Stop playing around and go start your shift." The manager turned towards the man sitting next to her.
"You!" He pointed. "Your already off. Now go home."
The manager walked away, whistling to himself
She looked at him and he looked at her. They both smiled, got up and gave each other a tight hug.
"Have fun at work." He told her.
"Yeah, thanks. Text you later. Bye." She walked off to start her shift.
