Battlefield

Sitting on my couch, the laptop on my lap, staring at a blank screen thinking of what to write...how to begin...because all these emotions are running through my mind. To be honest, I don't know how to start at all. Because at the moment, I'm not sure how I'm feeling right now. Disappointment is one of them. Sadness...perhaps another. Anger, Lonliness. All I know is that I feel like, someone just snatched away one of my fairytale dreams and stomped on it. A happy ending, coming to an end. And that end ain't what it appeared to be. Not happy at all. I just don't really know what to do. He's leaving. I won't see him ever again. I won't see that gorgeous smile of his that I love so much. I won't hear that laugh he constantly has everyday that makes me want to laugh with him. Never hear those random jokes he makes. That sparkle in his eyes when he sees me. A beautiful moonlight, Peering out his window, That is what he sees. Seeing all his dreams, All his fears in the moon, He closes the curtains. Black fog enters his room, Dead silence screams in his ears, And only the white outline of the moon, is what he can see through the curtains. Knowing the moon will disappear in few short hours, He takes out his drawing pad, and sketches the outline of the moon. His hands move gracefully over the paper, his fingers gently carressing the page, shading in colours. Once the drawing was completed, the moon looked identical to the one outside his window, He reached up and opened his curtains. Hours passed, and the moon disappeared from his eyes, replaced by a bright blazing sun. Feeling a sense of loss, He opens his drawing pad, And found the moon he drew last night. Still as beautiful as ever, it still wasn't the same. He ripped the page out of the book, And found himself staring at another moon he drew the previous night. He ripped that page too...

The wind gently blew away gold strands from the girl's face as she lay in a field of flowers and fresh green grass. Lying there, she stares at the clouds as they form pictures in her mind; imagining someone there beside her laughing at her while she points at what she sees. Feeling the warmth of his body next to hers, his strong muscular arm wrapped around her shoulders craddling her head as a pillow, she whispers to the sky. "Peter, I can feel you next to me, I can hear you next to me..." She let out a loud sigh, her eyes filled with tears automatically. Seeing his face in the clouds, she knew he was watching her, listening to every word she was saying...taking it all in before the form of the clouds deform and he leaves her again. Wiping her tears away with her hand, she blows him a kiss. Sensing another goodbye, the clouds fade away, leaving a pure blue sky in its place. The blazing sun burned against my back as I sat on the bleachers looking up to the bright blue sky. It was 1:00pm. I sighed contentedly, enjoying my spare C block until I heard schuffling footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Daniel looking at me. He looked hesistant and careful, and very nervous. "Hey Daniel" I smiled gently, trying to ease off some tension. He waved and smiled back. I shifted to the side and left him some room to sit. He stepped down and sat, avoiding my gaze. "You ohkay? You seem nervous." I watched him fidget in his seat, while he looked down. His jaw clenched and unclenched, like he was thinking about something really hard. Finally he turned to look at me.
