Somewhere far away
The sun slowly set beyond the horizon, and a pale white moon took its place.
Sitting by the window ledge, he looks out towards the moon and speaks.
From the other side of the world,
the moon slowly faded away and a shining bright sun took its place.
Sitting on the front deck, she looks out towards the sun and listens.
A rush of summer air circled around her and as she closed her eyes, she can almost hear its whispering.
So soft, yet still there.
Reaching out, the wind came to her, embracing her petite body.
Tears filled her eyes, but it was now her turn.
Looking out towards the sun, she speaks.
He sat there waiting, patiently.
A rush of cold winter air, circled around him. He closed his eyes, listening carefully.
A soft whisper and caress of his face made him smile. She got the message, he thought to himself.
He slowly stood up, and blew her a kiss goodbye.
Till next time.
6 months later.
Staring at the moon, he was hesitant to speak.
It has been a rough few months, and he knew she was moving on.
But he wanted to try, just try once more.
So he spoke.
From the other side of the world,
the front deck lay empty.
The sun was beaming at its highest, and she stood by the ocean, knowing that his message was coming for her.
Holding a lily in her hand, she threw it into the cold water.
A final goodbye...at last.
Hours passed and he waited, patiently and expectantly.
But no rush of air came, and he sat there cold and heartbroken.
He knew she was gone for good, but he still waited...praying..hoping that maybe,
Just maybe, she'll come back.
